Wednesday, June 29 - Lunch

Chicken subs with hot sauce or BBQ sauce
Salad bar
(vegetarian salad option shown)

We ran out of chicken which was a bummer. The kids blew through 60# within minutes. Note to self: kids like chicken.

Wednesday, June 29 - Breakfast

Bagels
Cream cheese
Raspberry jam
Peanut butter
Oranges

Lame picture, I know, but we have a busy day ahead of us with two new untested meals on the menu.  The quick story about the bagels is that we managed to send out 400 really hot toasted bagels at the same time. It meant having both ovens set at 500 degrees and ninja-like timing, but it paid off.

Monday, June 27 - Breakfast

Scrambled eggs
English muffins

We tried a new way of cooking the scrambled eggs this morning: 30 minutes in the oven and the final 10 on the stovetop in the pan.  It worked well.  English muffins in the oven are spot on, too; no more cold toast.

Well, we're back in the old Camp Billings kitchen for another exciting season of dishing out some of Lake Fairlee's best food. I welcome any comments and feedback. For those alumni out there following along you can look forward to some classic Billings photos that include our daily meals. Enjoy!
